Noble is a relatively new boutique brand that was founded in 2022 by Eddy and Elizabeth Santos (aka @remarkable_liz on Instagram) and Jon Gjebrea. Currently, their entire line consists of 3 blends all available in a single 6 x 52 Toro size.
The Noble Act 2 features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, along with Dominican binder and fillers. It has a velvety, slightly toothy coffee-brown wrapper. The draw is nice and leans a bit on the tighter side–which I like. The construction is excellent, burning evenly and producing pleasing bands of gray and white ash.
The flavors I picked up included notes of chocolate, salt, oak, a hint of raspberry, and white bread, along with a subtle spice in the retrohale. The finish is creamy, smooth, and slightly sweet, with notes of caramel and a touch of raspberry. In the latter half of the cigar, the oak notes become more pronounced, accompanied by an increase in black pepper spice and additional coffee notes replacing the raspberry hints.
The Noble Act 2 is a well-made and well-balanced cigar with enjoyable complexity. It starts as medium in body, progressing to medium + and is medium in strength. One of the notable aspects of the Noble line is its ability to offer fuller-bodied blends without the excessive pepper and earthy “grit” found in some other Dominican counterparts. This characteristic to my mind fills a unique niche in the market.
Conclusion: the Noble Act 2 is not just blowing smoke, but a very enjoyable cigar. Highly recommended.
