Skyward Gate is a whole leaf plug of Red and Orange Virginias, just released from Cornell & Diehl. Does it stand apart or get lost in the plethora of Virginia blends that are out there? I give my initial thoughts as I smoke my first bowl.

Another of the original SPC blends being revived via Seattle Pipe Club’s relationship with Cornell & Diehl is Hogshead, a three country Virginia blend presented as a crumble cake plug. The tin description suggests this might just be your perfect Virginia. A bold claim! Does it live up to the hype?
