The Casa Fuente brand by Arturo Fuente is primarily crafted for their Casa Fuente store in Las Vegas. However, it is occasionally available in limited quantities to select Fuente accounts across the US. Fortunately, Twins Smoke Shop is one of those accounts.

The medium brown wrapper is slightly toothy, and the cold draw offers notes of cedar, salt, and butter. The draw is firm.
Upon lighting, I detected the same notes as in the cold draw, with added sweetness and a soft spice on the finish and in the retrohale. The burn is even, with a very thin burn line. The ash is white-gray, firm, and shows little flaking. It held for a bit more than an inch before naturally falling off.
As I progressed into the second third, the cedar notes deepened, and the butter was replaced by a light but distinct orange zest, which I find common in Fuente’s blends. The burn continued to be excellent despite a couple of tears that appeared. It’s important to note that the wrapper on this cigar is very thin and fragile. The flavors included nuts, leather, and cream, with a creamy, lightly nutty finish over a base of cedar and a hint of spice.

In the final third, the cedar, orange zest, and leather notes became more pronounced. The cedar notes were stronger than in the second third and continued to strengthen until the end. The cigar maintained a medium body and slightly less than medium strength.
The construction was impeccable, and the burn was excellent, requiring no touch-ups or relights. It was well-balanced and nuanced, with a pleasant aftertaste and aroma. When the nub became too hot to hold, I continued to smoke it in my Savinelli 628. Any cigar that is #PipeWorthy is certainly not just blowing smoke and is highly recommended, especially for lovers of Dominican blends.
