HU Makhuwa is a ribbon cut blend of Burley, Virginia, and Perique. The tin note includes figs, graham cracker, and a floral aroma.
Upon lighting, it presents a bright floral aroma with notes of nuts, hints of cocoa, hay, lemon zest, wood, and tangy spice on the palate. The finish is smooth and creamy with lingering notes of orange, fig, nuts, and wood.
As the bowl progresses, the nuttiness deepens and sweetens, and is accompanied by enhanced notes of orange and cream, with a hint of graham cracker. The retrohale is spicy with cedar notes.
This blend is medium-bodied and medium in strength, offering a well-balanced and complex smoking experience. When I lit up to write this review, my wife complimented the aroma, another plus. Makhuwa is not just blowing smoke, and is highly recommended.
