The Ferio Tego Generoso 2023 release has an attractive medium brown wrapper with a slight oil sheen to it. The cigar appears well-constructed, and the wrapper has a slightly toothy texture, promising an interesting tactile experience.

Upon lighting, the initial flavors are a mix of leather, coffee, earth, and a noticeable peppery kick in the retrohale. The draw is excellent, and produces a copious and steady flow of smoke. The burn line is impressively even, with a thin profile and a tight, dark gray ash that holds firmly. About an inch into the cigar, the flavors begin to mellow and integrate, becoming creamier. The pepper in the retrohale softens slightly but remains present, adding a nice complexity.

As the cigar progresses into the second third, the flavor profile evolves. The earthiness deepens, and notes of cream, leather, and hints of coffee emerge. There are subtle undertones of nuts and wood. The burn remains flawless, with the ash continuing to hold well, showcasing the cigar’s excellent construction.

In the final third, the flavor profile takes on a richer, more robust character. The earthiness ramps up, accompanied by strong notes of black pepper on the palate, dark coffee, and leather. The retrohale offers additional complexity with smoky cedar and baking spice. Despite a minor wrapper split in the last inch, the cigar maintained its structural integrity and smokes perfectly. The burn remains even throughout the entire session.

The Ferio Tego Generoso 2023 starts as a medium-bodied smoke and gradually ramps up to medium-plus, finishing as a full-bodied cigar. The complex and evolving flavors, combined with excellent construction and a perfect burn, make this cigar a truly satisfying and enjoyable experience.
