The Davidoff Millennium Robusto is beautifully constructed, with a flawless Ecuadorian wrapper that is smooth and slightly oily to the touch. The cigar is firm and well-packed, with no soft spots, indicating excellent construction. The band is elegant, featuring the classic Davidoff logo.

Before lighting, the cigar offers a pleasant aroma, with notes of cedar, earth, and a hint of sweetness. The cold draw is perfect, providing just the right amount of resistance and offers flavors of dried fruit and a subtle spiciness.

Upon lighting, it opens with a flavors of cedar, light coffee, and leather, with a slight peppery kick that tingles the palate. The finish is rich and creamy. The burn is razor-sharp, producing a solid white ash that holds firm.

As the cigar progresses into the second third, the flavors deepen and evolve. The cedar and coffee notes remain prominent and the pepper spice mellows, while additional hints of walnuts and a light caramel sweetness appear.

In the final third, the cedar notes deepen and become more robust. There is a pleasant earthiness that adds depth to the profile, and the sweetness from the caramel becomes more pronounced. The pepper spice makes a return, but is more subtle.

The Davidoff Millennium Robusto strives to channel the sophistication that Davidoff is known for, and I think it delivers. It is well balanced, nuanced, and well-crafted, and therefore is not just blowing smoke. Highly recommended.
